This section is a Chapter review. Review
all the chords and the strumming patterns. Choose a pattern and play each exercise
through. Or write out several patterns of your choice, combining them in any way you like.
Remember always to use a metronome, count and tap, and sustain each slash fully for
appropriate counts. Make sure to keep the common fingers down when connecting from one
chord to another and to move only the fingers necessary to play the next chord whenever
possible. Isolate and practice repeatedly and slowly those places where you have to lift
all your fingers off in order to move to the next chord. Extra blank staves are provided
for you to write out and practice your own chord progressions.
